Very nice picture !
I wonder if that is a thistle? and what kind of insect that is? It looks like no bee I've ever seen. My early guess is that it is a fly.

As somebody else too posted...
Beauty and the Bee!
Great capture!
Thistles are so pretty this time of year! That is a beautiful photo and the pink jumps out! Awesome.
Thank you again for your compliments on my photo and for your thoughts!
Happy WW! Have a great day.
Beautiful shot. The design on the bee's back is so different from any I've ever seen.
WHat a wonderful sight! Happy WW
Bee, thistle....I am thinking like with like here! Beautiful shot.
What a shot! It is amazing that it is so sharp even with the bee hovering. We had tow killing frosts this week, so no more flowers until the bulbs come up next spring.
Happy WW and thanks for the visit!
good stuff...and great camera work too...I wonder it is credit to a great camera or the photographer...or both...
Thistle IS beautiful! And love the bee!
